Why is a Release Impact Analysis important?

A Release Impact Analysis is crucial for understanding upcoming changes and their potential impact on your system. It allows you to prepare your environment and users, ensuring seamless integration of new features. 

How often are NetSuite releases?

NetSuite typically releases two major updates annually, known as “.1” and “.2” releases. These occur in the first and third quarters of the calendar year, respectively. 

Can the release schedule be delayed?

Yes, you can request to delay your release to a later phase if you are in the middle of a critical project or require more time for testing. However, this option is only available up to Phase 3. 

What is the Release Preview environment?

The Release Preview environment is a free, on-demand environment provided by NetSuite during the upgrade cycle. It mirrors your production environment with the new NetSuite version applied, allowing you to test new features and assess their impact. 

How early can you access the Release Preview?

You can typically access the Release Preview environment about one month before your scheduled upgrade. In some cases, it may be available earlier upon request through the NetSuite interface (Setup >> Company >> Release Preview).
